This guide ranks the highest-rated games on Steam using live data pulled on October 27, 2026. We used the SteamDB rating, which weighs both the percentage of positive reviews and how many reviews a game has. So a game with 20 perfect reviews can’t sneak past a classic with half a million.

How We Ranked the Highest-Rated Games on Steam
Steam’s own “sort by reviews” mostly looks at percentage. That’s a problem. A game with 30 reviews at 100% looks better than one with 400,000 at 98%.
SteamDB fixes this with a simple rule. The rating gets pulled toward 50% when there are few reviews, and that pull shrinks as reviews grow. Its formula notes that SteamDB counts all purchase types, while Steam itself only counts Steam purchases (SteamDB blog).

- Games only. Wallpaper Engine (96.81%) is excluded because it’s software.
- Minimum 500 reviews, matching Steam’s Overwhelmingly Positive threshold.
- Data date: October 27, 2026. Scores change daily, so expect small shifts.
